Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Ostrava:SBS Ostrava (#2) and Basket Ostrava (#8). Basket Ostrava was smashed at home by 45 points 57-102 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. SBS Ostrava made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 25 Basket Ostrava turnovers and outrebounded them 43-30 including 16 on the offensive glass. SBS Ostrava players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Basket Ostrava 's players. The winners were led by American guard Oliana Squires (175-1998, college: Montana St.) who scored that evening 20 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and supported her with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four SBS Ostrava players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 17 points and 13 rebounds by French Pauline Astier (179-2002) did not help to save the game for Basket Ostrava . Dutch power forward Emese Hof (190-1996, college: Miami, FL) added 15 points for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. SBS Ostrava have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with USK Praha. Newly promoted Basket Ostrava still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Slovanka.
